U. S. Department of the Interior, Lauro Dam Construction Project, Santa Barbara, CA
Project for the Department of Interior. A slight earthquake fault crosses the base of the dam. To mitigate the concern, We excavated the foundation of the dam and installed a new fault drain returning the underground water flow to the original streambed beyond the dam. The face of the dam was reinforced by the placement of zone materials, native fill and rocks.
